    Beskrivelse

Philosopher and PhD Benjamin Olivares Bøgeskov will introduce us to Kirkegaard, hapiness and the pros of approaching our personal and professional life in a philosofical way.

Is there any happiness in Kierkegaard?
Kierkegaard has become famous for what he said about concepts such as anxiety, despair, paradox and the leap of faith, but little is known about his views on more positive concepts as happiness, joy or blessedness. Some even think that Kierkegaard’s existentialism simply opposes happiness. In this talk, I would like to show what Kierkegaard says about happiness and which relation happiness does have with the different existential stages – aesthetical, ethical and religious.
PhD., Lector Benjamín Olivares Bøgeskov has dedicated much of his philosophical work to study the concept of happiness. Apart from writing his PhD. on Kierkegaard’s concept of happiness, he has also worked with the historical development of this concept from Greek authors such as Aristotle to the medieval tradition expressed in Thomas Aquinas. Currently he works as associate professor teaching ethics in the health sector, and researching on ethics, leadership and health.
