Abstract
Innovation and entrepreneurship have been incorporated into all subjects after the Danish School Reform in 2014, and this article presents a new take on language education with an innovative and intercultural approach leading to a value-centered learning environment. Sneak Peak is an exemplification of a longer project-based teaching sequence that implements interculturality, innovation and technology in a cross curricular work between English language teaching and geography teaching in year 8 in lower secondary school in Denmark. Introducing a new value-centered teaching model, based on Liddicoat & Scarino’s (2013) intercultural model and Nybye’s (2013) innovation model, to plan and execute language education. The article also addresses new takes on intercultural learning in teacher education due to the new prominent focus on intercultural competence in language teaching introduced with the Danish the Teacher Education Reform from 2012.
