Jeg arbejder med dansk som andetsprog og undervisning af flersprogede elever, primært i læreruddannelsen men også i eftervidereuddannelse og forskning og udvikling. Min forskning fokuserer på den sproglige dimension i fagundervisningen, (andet)sprogsdidaktik, elevers sproglige udvikling, literacy og akademisk skrivning i lærerprofessionen. Som faglig konsulent i projektet “Tidligere sprogstart – Ny begynderdidaktik med fokus på flersprogethed” har jeg været ansvarlig for inddragelsen af dansk som andetsprogperspektivet i projektet. Kernen i min faglige interesse er at understøtte og udvikle elevers og studerendes adgang til legitime vidensformer i hhv skolen og læreruddannelsen. Hertil arbejder jeg især med systemisk funktionel lingvistik (SFL) og Legitimation Code Theory (LCT) både som analyseredskaber til at forstå udfordringer i pædagogisk praksis, men også som didaktiske redskaber til planlægning af stilladserende, sprogbaseret undervisning på højt fagligt niveau. Jeg er tovholder og medstifter af det nye LCT-Nordic Netværk samt som bestyrelsesmedlem i NSFL og suppleant i Foreningen for SFL i professionerne.
