My primary interest, and work, is linked to praxis based research- and development projects intended to support the continuing development of the social work education and, thus, profession. The projects I am involved in are underpinned by the current Global Agenda for Social Work (IFSW & IASSW, 2020) and the Global Ethical Standards of Social Work (IFSW, 2014) and focus on the ways in which global social work can inform the development of our local education. More recently, I have primarily been involved in work, which aims at identifying the professions' potential and role in relation to contributing to a transformation to a more sustainable world where degrowth, social justice, and a more kincentric perspective is promoted. Empirically, the projects I am involved in have focussed on marginalized adults in the context of urbanization, gentrification, and financialization and their influence on issues such as homelessness, drug use, and structurally induced precarity. Since 2017 I have been the international coordinator for the Department of Social Work at KP. I am responsible for our English language course where I teach social science with a fokus on sustainability, decolonization, and urbanization. Finally, my tasks include project management, formulation of applications for EU funding, developing and sustaining our international partnerships, and developing education and educational materials.
