In the last 6 years as head of research and development at the University College Copenhagen, Inst. Of Nursing and Nutrition, Grete Brorholt has -together with the researchers and the education managers, build up a robust applied research environment on health, care and nursing at home.   

Grete Brorholt is trained as a social anthropologist on gender and smallholders income generating activities (2000 Cand scient. Anth 2000, University of Copenhagen) and she holds a Ph.D. (2012 Ph.d. Ped. Anth. ARTS, University of Aarhus) on higher education and leadership in the hospital in Denmark. 

Grete Brorholt has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector as a research assistant (2000-2001 Uni.of Copenhagen), in-house organisational analysist (2001-2014 Hvidovre Hospital), researcher (2014-2018 Nat. Center of  Applied Welfare Research (VIVE))  and a leader (head of R&D inst.of Nursing and Nutrition UCC), which has formed her as specialist in healthcare.  

Her current field of research is on cross disciplinary participatory designs and methodology, patient involvement and the effects on the global care crisis in a Danish and global healthcare context. 

She is occasionally a censor and a teacher at the university, reviewing for international Journals. She is also participating in the civil society, public debate on healthcare, research policy and education.
