Personal profile

Presentation

I graduated as a social worker in 2000 and have a broad professional background with a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen and a master’s degree in social work from Aalborg University. I have worked as a practicing social worker and as a consultant for the state, which has provided me with in-depth experience of the challenges and opportunities present at both the individual and organizational levels. Since 2014, I have worked as a lecturer in the social worker education program, focusing on strengthening students' competencies in inclusion and social work. I am particularly interested in how social workers can contribute to promoting inclusion in society, and I teach both basic and continuing education courses in Social Work, including in Supported Employment (SE) and Individual Placement and Support (IPS).

I have a particular interest in how social workers can develop and expand their competencies in inclusion, and how these competencies can be translated into concrete practices that make a difference in working with vulnerable groups. Through my teaching and research, I focus on illuminating and further developing the methods and approaches that can help social workers support inclusion and create positive change in citizens' lives.
