Forskningsinteresser
Min overordnede forskningsinteresse er immunforsvaret og dets rolle i inflammatoriske og livsstilsrelaterede sygdomme, herunder hvordan bakterier påvirker immunforsvarets funktion i udviklingen af disse sygdomme. I vores forskningslaboratorium og hos eksterne samarbejdspartnere analyserer vi biomolekyler i kliniske prøver fra mennesker, der kan give os nye indsigter i underliggende sygdomsmekanismer og fungere som biomarkører for sygdom, prognose og behandling. Endeligt arbejder jeg med, hvordan biologiske og digitale biomarkører kan implementeres i borgernær praksis for forbedret behandling og monitorering af sygdom.

Til dagligt leder jeg forskningslaboratoriet ved Institut for Teknologiske Uddannelser, hvor medarbejdere, studerende og eksterne samarbejdspartnere gennemfører en bred vifte af biologiske og kemiske forskningsprojekter.
