Profile

I research how play, as a phenomenon, an action, and a practice, can develop and innovate pedagogy and education, creating new ways of being, learning, and collaborating within educational communities and contexts. Through design-based and co-creative approaches, I explore how playful, creative, and aesthetic methods can strengthen participation, relationships, communities, and learning processes across disciplines, professions, and sectors.

My research examines play as a relational and generative practice that connects being, becoming, belonging, and learning within educational settings. I work at the intersection of play, learning, technology, and culture, with a particular focus on playful pedagogy, educational innovation, and transversal relations and educational forms. Through these perspectives, I examine and develop how pedagogy and education can be shaped, practised, and understood in contemporary and future contexts.

I am involved in various research and development projects that explore and design new ways of participating, creating, and learning together, exploring play and playful approaches as drivers of pedagogical renewal and of fostering alternative, meaningful relationships. Current projects include Playful Learning Praxis Research (2023–26), Play, Reflect, Participate (PREP, 2025–27), and the EU Horizon project EPIC-WE (2023–26).
