Research and development areas
Jeg har siden 2018 forsket i den fysiske terrorsikring af vores byers offentlige rum. Nærmere bestemt har jeg set nærmere på, hvordan steder som Christiansborgs Slotsplads og Rådhuspladsen i København sikres mod terrorangreb. For hvordan ændrer byens rum karakter, når betonblokke, blomsterkummer og granitkugler finder vej til gadehjørner og åbne pladser? Hvilke nye rum opstår, er de åbne eller lukkede, og hvad siger de om måden vi tænker sikkerhed på og om hvilke forestillinger vi gør os om fremtiden?
Min forskningspraksis – og måde at arbejde på i det hele taget – er tværfaglig og mine analyser udfolder sig ofte i spændingsfeltet mellem sikkerhedsstudier, bystudier og kulturstudier.
