Louise er uddannet folkeskolelærer og cand. pæd. i didaktik (dansk) og har en phd. i uddannelsesvidenskb fra Aarhus Universitet (DPU). Hun har erfaring med både kvalitativ og kvantitativ forskning og forsker i undervisning inden for danskfaget særligt knyttet til grundskolen. Især interesserer hun sig for læsning og skrivning og elevers deltagelsesformer og prakisfaglighed. Hun underviser i Dansk 1.-6., er tilknyttet Skrivecenteret og er medlem af Undervisningsministeriets opgavekommission Læs og Ret.
