Description

While physical settings and organisational factors can impact the learning environment, this project focuses on the psychosocial and instructional context in which learning takes place. The overall objective of the project is to ensure that more students enrol in and complete a vocational education and training programme by addressing learning environment conditions that are crucial for students' motivation, well-being, and learning. Enhancing the learning environment at vocational schools is a way to improve the quality of study programmes and make them more attractive to prospective students. Research on the learning environment at vocational schools has identified teachers as key factors in fostering a supportive learning environment. The project analyse how instructional and social processes, as well as interactions between teachers and students, contribute to shaping the learning environment.
