Abstract
The chapter “Boundary care practices and ethical dilemmas” analyzes pedagogical care practices in daycare centers with young Danish children at risk and the ethical dilemmas connected to this work. Care is prescribed as a core value in the code of ethics for early childhood educators meaning that they are ethically committed to create an everyday life for children based on trust, security, and empathy.
