    Abstract (EN)
Donald Forrester is Professor of Social Work at Cardiff University, Wales. Forrester has extensive experience developing and managing research centres such as CASCADE Children’s Social Care Research and Development Centre, What Works for Children’s Social Care, and Tilda Goldberg Centre. In relation with his work at the Centre for Better Childhoods research centre at University College Copenhagen Forrester will visit Copenhagen several times during the autumn semester of 2024. Sofie Dencker-Larsen and Peter Abrahamson interviewed Forrester about the link between research and practice, the role of the social worker towards citizens and the state, and about the meeting of social work and sociology; additionally, we speak with Forrester about his book ’The Enlightened Social Worker’, in which he unfurls rights-based practice in social work. In the following, we present key parts of the interview.
